This essay will compare the skeletal systems of an ant and a tiger.
Tigers, like other mammals and birds have an endoskeleton. That is to say that their skeleton on the inside of their body as opposed to insects which have an exoskeleton that covers their entire body.

An exoskeleton is practical for a small creature like an ant, however, if a creature the size of a tiger were to have an exoskeleton it wouldn't be able to lift it's own bodyweight and would crush itself.
Thus I find that the skeletal systems of an ant and a tiger are completely different, however each serve their purpose to the user very well, for they would be useless without it.
