to beat the strongest army in the world. There were many factors that made the patriot soldiers come out victorious. The soldiers were on their home land which gave them a constant reminder of what they would lose if they lost the war. George Washington gathered up as many soldiers as he could, they were mostly strong young men who had nothing tying them down. The soldiers had great pride in the fight for independence.
