Uranium Mining in Desserts can have a major negative effect on the plants and animals living within. I am strongly against uranium mining and believe that it should not be carried out for the following reasons. Uranium mining cannot operate soli on its own unaided. Potential radiation release from the uranium mining could be a problem because it can cause the water system to become polluted, animals to become ill and plants to become unhealthy and radiated. Overall it is quite clear that uranium mining has a major negative effect on its surroundings. It destroys the environment and because of this I am strongly against uranium mining. I therefore conclude, uranium mining should not occur!
