Turner's Syndrome is a rare chromosomal disorder of females (1:2500) characterized by short stature and the lack of sexual development at puberty. This syndrome was first described by H.H. Turner in 1938. Other physical features may include a webbed neck, heart defects, kidney abnormalities, and/or various other malformations. Normally, females have two X chromosomes. The creation of a network of Turner contact groups in Denmark since the beginning of the 1980'ties has been a great help for parents of Turner girls, as well as for girls and adults with Turner's Syndrome. It is the purpose of the society to spread knowledge about Turner's Syndrome, to support and inform parents, and future parents to girls with Turner's Syndrome, and to form new contact groups in Denmark and abroad.
