In William Shakespeare's "Tragedy of Macbeth" the tragic hero Macbeth sets himself up for his own demise. There is only one main cause of the downfall of Macbeth, which was him listening to the witches prophecies and letting them influence him. He continually listens to The Weird Sisters who are only out to kill him. The tragic heroes downfall was inevitable, as his own thirst for blood killed him. He couldn't resist the lust for more power. In the end it was the little things that built up and created his great demise.
