Abstract
The objective of experiment #6 is to examine the thermal conductivity of lexan and glass. Ice was used to check for the insulation capacity. Thermal conduction is a term used to represent a form of heat transport due to interactions between ions, atoms, and molecules in a substance but at the same time the ions, atoms, and molecules are not being transferred. Metals are a good example of thermal conductivity because they have free electrons

The mass of the Measuring Cup with water was measured through an electric balance. The final diameter of the ice was measured and the data with its uncertainty was typed in the appropriate box in the computer. Then the steam generator was turned off.
After 10 minutes, when the slab of lexan was cooled off, it was removed from the steam chamber and replaced with a slab of glass. Then the same entire process was repeated.
