Often an author tries to deceive his readers. He will have unexpected events occur and have things appear differently than they normally do to keep them reading. In these novels many events are not what they seem to be.
In the novel The Princess Bride people are not what they appear to be. The character Wesley was very unpredictable he supposedly died twice in the novel and he fooled everyone by actually being alive. He

be. Juliet was dead and then awakens. This was minutes too late because Romeo had just killed himself before she had awakened. Juliet then really killed herself after seeing Romeo dead. If Juliet were actually dead it would have prevented much of this confusion.
Events in these novels often deceived the reader and in some case the characters as well. All three novels were deceiving at one point or another but this made them interesting.
