Nobles, Kings, and Popes of the Middle Ages experienced dramatic alterations. The Popes gained much spiritual power as well as political power. The Kings' power fluctuated, but by the end, they had grown in both power and importance. The Nobles had the most noticeable change though. They went from just foot soldiers to fighting cavalry. While their power and importance changed greatly, all of these groups went through many more changes in the Middle Ages.
