The Khmer Rouge may have killed Loung's parents, sisters, and millions of other innocent people, she has found away to try and helpher country of Cambodia. She learned and experienced things at such a young age it has mad her grow stronger today. She still thinks about all the horrible things she has witnessed and she will probably never forget the awful things. She lived through "One of the most notable genocides since 1945" (Ponchaud 67)
