People moved back into rural areas as cities became overcrowded. (Knox 1) Although Europe's population was on the mend, it's other aspects such as religion, culture, politics and more were forever changed. The plague was geographically limited to Europe and parts of Asia, but it affected the whole world, which had never experienced such an inexplicable horror before.
