Having read Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, several questions proposed themselves to me, one of them being: What can be considered the concept of a gentleman according to Dickens? This is in, my opinion, Charles Dickens' concept of a gentleman as well. In conclusion I believe to have improved my knowledge of the nineteenth century gentleman in general and Charles Dickens' gentleman a great deal.
