had nowhere else to go and had no way of making money, they should continue working for the same company in appropriate conditions, non compulsory. People under the age of six should be put in a home and given a future and not just left, which they may have been. I also think instead of a sum of money the government could have provided the plantations with an alternate method of business such as machines.
