Almost everyone at some time in his or her life will experience periods of anxiety, sadness, and despair. These are normal reactions to the pain of loss, rejection, or disappointment. Those with serious mental illnesses, however, often experience more extreme reactions, that don't leave the mind. Teenagers think when all hope is lost, that suicide is the only decision.

It is important to remember some people who are suicidal are very good at hiding their emotional pain. Very often these people appear happy and assure of themself on the outside, however are covering the pain they are experiencing. It is up to each and everyone us to put a stop to suicidal deaths among our teenagers. Who is next? Do we know enough to put a stop on it?
