Almost two decades ago, my parents immigrated to America from China to start a better life for themselves and their children. Like most immigrants, their social class was lower in America than it was in their home country. They've come a long way from the Chinese immigrants they were years ago. They've adapted to the American way of life and have achieved what they had set to do when they left mainland China.
