Standardized testing is nothing new to me. As a student in Kentucky, I have taken many of these types of tests throughout my twelve years in school. One reason for this is the Kentucky Education Reform Act (KERA), which holds Kentucky schools accountable for the education of its students. …showed last 75 words of 475 total…previous experiences with standardized testing, I know that it is a useful way to evaluate student academic performance and help students prepare for the future. It is for this reason that I plan to use it as one testing method in my classroom. However, other methods will also be used because I want to give students every chance to succeed that I can, and I feel using other methods is one way to do this.
