Some may attest that he only composed twenty-six operas. Many scholars accredit him for extensive revisions he later made. Guiseppe Verdi was born at Le Roncole, which was part of Napoleon's Kingdom of Italy. He passed on in 1901 in his suite at the Grand Hotel in Milan, where he had been supervising the Casa di Riposo since 1898.
