The Puritans: Builders or Biggest? Puritans created a strong religious foundation for their land and people to live by, not to mention how they created capitalism and a democracy for our country. As a unified community, the Puritans built all of what is now Boston, and maintained great cultivators at the same time. This was a smart decision made by the Puritans; considering that their "plan" to revive their religion worked and people in the community were once again unified.
