Throughout history the human population has had one link to one another, in that no matter where you may live story-telling is used as a significant means of entertainment. This fact not only breaks geographic boundaries, but time as well. Now it's not hard to imagine that in this day and age many of the stories that one culture enjoys, may also be enjoyed by several others. Things do tend to get a bit mysterious

into account the possibility of one culture spreading their stories, at least in part, throughout large areas, people within the primitive times living more or less the same lives, and even a tinge of the more psychological components, it's easy to see that many factors led to similar tales. This, as I'm sure most people would agree, is a rather complex subject. And as with all complex subjects there's usually more than one right answer.
