Prior to my analysis I have re-coded attitude variables of 'intention to leave the organisation', 'stress' and 'work overload' so that higher scores on these tests would represent more positive answers, e.g. score 5 in 'intention to leave organisation' will become 'definitely intend to stay in the organisation'.

To a large extent but not entirely interviewing is perhaps the most effective research tool of them all, because it gives greater breadth of the subject area than most other techniques, it's effective for considering issues resistant to observations and gives lots of flexibility. However, interviews tend to be expensive, time consuming and difficult to analyse.
