The Bronze Age, aka first golden age on Europe:
Important changes in the way societies were organised at the start and through the Bronze Age. In the daily lives of ordinary people and in their religious beliefs and artistic expression. Great technological progress was made during this time, marked in particular by the widespread adoptions of Copper, Bronze and Gold Metallurgy across Europe between 2400-600bc.

Khania, Stylos and Palaikastro were all abandoned. Arkhanes shows evidence of being destroyed by an earthquake followed by fire. Malia, Gournia and Kavousi were also deserted. Most of the coastal sites were deserted. There is evidence from Cyprus that some of the Minoan emigrated there. The post-palace stage in Crete was a poorer time, the society became devoid of art and precious stones, and little product was made.
