New Zealand Education
I am a product of the 50's and 60's education system. They were years of free education, canes and warm milk. Teachers were either Bullies or Gods and exams were a punishment for staying at school. I was not aware of having any rights as a student and any wrong doings were treated very harshly and certainly not repeated.
My strengths lay in Maths and Science and the subjects came to me

c are a few that influence the students ability to learn. A lot of these are outside the area a teacher can reach but it is still important a teacher be aware of them.
Teaching has to do with the removal of barriers.
It is a principle of the NZ Curriculum Framework that all schools will provide students with satisfying and worthwhile experiences which will motivate them to continue learning throughout life (Ministry of Education, 1993)
