Long Distance
The poem 'Long Distance' by Tony Harrison conveys a sense of emotional distress that his father feels after the loss of his wife. …showed last 75 words of 1542 total…to us dies, we tend to grieve at the loss of someone but get on with life as we have to. It was different for Harrison's father, as he couldn't stand the 'Long Distance' between himself and his wife, so he felt he needed to join her. I thought that the title, 'Long Distance' was appropriate as it linked well to the poem for this reason. I thoroughly enjoyed reading and writing about this poem.
