Happiness can be considered both a physical and emotional state in which an individual has found satisfaction, or relief from stress and worry. Happiness can also be defined five billion other ways by individuals across the world. In order for the government to guarantee the nation's people their happiness would be impossible, but for the government to guarantee people the right to pursue happiness can only be expected.

to be happy. Because that is what the government does, they provide people with the right to pursue happiness. The government allows people to do almost whatever they want. They are free to start businesses, to travel, and to have millions of dollars. Jefferson's right to pursue happiness is one that will hopefully never find its end in this country. When people lose this right is when the government has failed to serve its purpose.
