Planning Experimental Procedures The aim of my experiment is to find the salt concentration in a potato tuber. I predict that osmosis will occur between the potato tubers and the solutions. For my second additional experiment I would prepare a slide of each potato tuber before and after putting them in the salt solutions. This would give me visual evidence of the osmosis that has occurred, showing the cells being either mainly flaccid (with the cell membrane pulling away from the cell wall or even completely detached) or mainly turgid (cell membrane pushed right up against the cell wall).
