It seems that America has huge misconceptions regarding the amount and type of violence committed by adolescents, especially within a school setting. Although statistics have proven that violence among youth is on the decline, this issue still remains to be considered a social problem. From now on, the media should focus on what is important: the positive contributions that not just the youth, but everyone has contributed to society; and perhaps the media and even the leaders of this nation will see the declining trend in the so called social problem of youth violence.
