The improvement to efficiency in Society has come about due to an increase in Information Technology. Technology that in the most part we could not do without today. Even a very stable computer system must periodically be taken out of service for scheduled maintenance and even today when that happens the office turns in to chaos. As humans we have come to rely on the efficiency of technology and this has improved society.
