Chronic hepatitis can be developed when hepatitis B, C, or D persist for more than 6 months. Hepatitis A or E can not develop to chronic hepatitis[3].
Although there are some antiviral drugs that can stop the development of chronic hepatitis like: Interferon accompanied by Ribavirin, they have so many side effects and they can not be used for a long time. That is why Liver transplantation is considered as the only way to treat hepatitis[4].
