School shootings and the large number of gun deaths among minority youth have raised people's awareness about guns. In Littleton, Colorado, twelve students and a teacher were killed and another twenty students were wounded when two students opened fire. There are more negative effects of having gun than positives. The public would feel safer. They would be able to live their lives without the fear of a bullet targeted at them. The federal government must convince people to see the danger of firearms and control them more effectively or ban them altogether.
