troops because they are fighting for each and every American. Another message was that the men were happy to fight for their country and never gave up, even in the toughest of times. Also, it showed a great maturity of the soldiers from start to finish. In the beginning, they were "green", and by the end they were experienced fighters. This gave the American viewers a sense of confidence and pride in the American troops.
