The Global Positioning System, G.P.S. has been set-up by the U. S. Department of Defense. Anybody that wants to establish their position and time any place in the world can use G.P.S. G.P.S. works by using the signals from three or more of 24 satellites orbiting the Earth. A G.P.S. sensor is able to take these signals and determine a position in three-dimensional space. basic receiver for around a hundred dollars. A few years back that would not have even came close.
In conclusion G.P.S. has a wonderful future ahead of it. There is so many things that it could be used for. As the technology of the system evolves as well as other technology to go along with it things will become even more widely available. Many careers will probably be associated with G.P.S.
