Ethics addresses in what ways it is morally proper to behave. However, in order to study the field of Ethics, or for the field of Ethics to even exist, two assumptions must be made. have seen I am still unconvinced either way. The two assumptions of ethics seem only to be possible but not anymore concrete than that. From a purely philosophical standpoint I personally would like to believe in the existence of free will, and accordingly morality and ethics. I would have trouble waking up every day if my life were preprogrammed and predestined. I like to believe that the actions and decisions I make every day matter.
