Fashion was a major part of Ancient Egypt. All of the rich wore clothes and jewelry. All of the women wore make - up and clothes. Men did the same. Black was often not worn because it attracted heat. Instead white was worn. They had many accessories like headdresses, headbands, jewelry, and collars. Not everyone wore shoes though. Fashion had a lot of different parts to it. and anklets and girls also wore hair ornaments. During the New Kingdom children's side locks were shown in a range of different styles. The children didn't wear shoes. As a matter of fact, they didn't wear clothes either in the younger years. Some children wore clothes, and if they did, the clothes would most likely be a simple white skirt. The common people either wore sandals or they went barefoot. The rich wore sandals too.
