e was definitely a need of defibrillators in the human society. Without them so many more lives would have been taken by cardiac arrest. About 1,000 people died a day before defibrillators were invented. Now about half of them lived. Today every EMT-D should have an external defibrillator with them just incase the patient goes into cardiac arrest. Defibrillators help the humans live and carry out the metabolism of life.
