much historic detail in such a clear and concise way that understanding the layers upon layers of political complications described was and is inevitable to the reader. I began Daugher of Persia curious, but under the assumption that the story would be told with either a prowestern or proIranian slant. Instead I find myself wanting everyone involved in Iranian/U.S. relations in any manner to emulate Sattareh Farman Farmaian's sensitive, educated, and unbiased perspective.
