Comparing and contrasting between "Not Waving but Drowning and Song".
In this assignment I am going to talk about two poems, the first one is "Not waving but Drowning" and the second one is "Song". After that, I am going to compare and contrast between these two poems. "Not waving but Drowning" by Stevie Smith was written in 1957. I found this poem in a selection Faber, 1983. The last thing, Smith's poem has three stanzas, whereas in Auden's poem has four stanzas. Eventually, both of the poets try to convey their emotions in simple way to the audience with sympathies. Finally, I have talked about the first poem and the second poem and I have made comparison and contras between these two poems.
