I have found that whilst studying this scene the dramatic effect of it all makes the audience swing from one extreme to another. Though, the effect usually modifies with how the characters' say their lines as the interpretations are different. The audience gets emotionally involved in this scene as Shakespeare takes advantage of this situation to capture their interest.
