Christopher Columbus was born between August and the end of October of the year 1451. His birthplace was an ancient city of Genoa. His father and grandfather were both woolen weavers who moved from town to town of the Genoese Republic for at least three generations. Because of his discoveries, explorers later came from all over Europe and developed the "melting pot" that we live in today. He was defiantly a man who changed history for all of us.
