A basic essay describing the journey of Christopher Columbus and his journey in "discovering" America. Nothing amazing but got a pretty decent grade.
After many difficulties, through a combination of good luck and persuasivness, Christopher Columbus gained the support of the Catholic monarchs, Isabel and Fernando, for his voyage. After that, the huge preparation for the first voyage began.

and the crew returned to Spain on the Nina and the Pinta.
The return trip was quite rough, most of the crew were sick and 4 of the 6 Indians he brought with him, died. Columbus and his small band arrived in Palos de la Frontera on March 15th after stopping in Lisbon for repairs.
Banquets and celebrations were held in our honor, and we felt that we were the first men who discovered a new world.
