Character Analysis in Steinbeck's and Lahiri's:
A character is an imagined person who inhabits a story. There may be one or more characters throughout the story: flat, round, dynamic, and so forth. This is what keeps the story going and makes it different and, thus, interesting. In Steinbeck's and Lahiri's, there is some familiarity happening within these two stories and, at the same time, differentiation.

The two stories' main idea was to show the connection between the main characters, how they are connected, what created the connection, and, importantly, clearly show a different side of these two women. They may appear to be strong and independent, but sadly they both are weak and lonely.
