an already morally challenged society. Capital punishment lowers the value of human life as seen by the general population and brutalizes society. It is based on revenge. It destroys the belief that human beings have the capacity to change. It can be argued economically, ethically, or on a factional basis, but capital punishment needs to be left in the history books. It simply has no place in today's society. It is time to move on.
