The English navy was willing to provide the navy with support and intelligent naval personnel. This helped the navy advance into a European powerhouse on the waters. The English navy did not have a perfect record on the waters. They made mistakes in the sixteenth and seventeenth century but what made them into the dominant naval power was their ability to learn from their mistakes and have the proper and dedicated people working for them.
