In today's society, education is stressed as being the key to success. Why
is this? Most students say they want an education to make money. Being
educated usually goes hand-in-hand with a relatively high-paying job. The
purpose of an education, however, has little to do with money. Getting paid
is the reward. Typically, there are three major arguments to describe the
purpose of an education.

All three of the arguments discussed contribute to the full purpose of
an education. Specialization is needed for direction, but one should not be
blind to all other fields. This is why generalizing an education can be
proven effective. Finally, an education would lead to a more economically
prosperous population. Which is why everyone should be educated for
success.
