Algae produce a vast amount oxygen and only ask for little in return. They are varied amongst each other in terms of size and lifestyles but yet they are also very similar. They all need water and light, they all photosynthesize and they all producers. Algae are simple aquatic creatures which play an important role in allowing us to understand plant life, mostly because of their simple format and ancestral background.
