Sulfur dioxide is harmful if breathed, especially to people with asthma. Also toxic chemicals and metals such as lead could be put in to our drinking water and contaminate our reservoirs. In the future we could reduce acid rain by cutting down on pollution since pollution is a main factor in acid rain. Acid rain is a big problem in our world today with serious research and cutting down pollution the effects could be minimized.
