There were many different stable and wealthy empires in 1680, filled with flourishing economies and powerful leaders. As an influential and growing empire, China was deemed to be the strongest among the many other nations that existed in the 17th century. The Chinese Empire proved to flourish in the 17th century, and is in turn a country that I would have wanted to live in. Though Russia and the Ottoman Empire were both rising to power, China proved to be the greater empire. China prospered immensely in the 1600s through its independence and thriving economy. It was truly a nation of power and success.
